How is the product installed?

PARASAFE can be installed with ordinary bolts and screws.

How long does it take to install PARASAFE?

Once the center of gravity and positioning is adjusted and confirmation of the drone’s flight readiness is done, the mounting takes only a short time. 

What is the minimum flight altitude at which PARASAFE can be deployed?

PARASAFE is designed to be deployed at minimum 30m of altitude.

How is PARASAFE’s deployment powered?

Either the drone’s main battery or a separate power source can be used.

Can the parachute be repacked?

We don’t recommend repacking the parachute, to ensure PARASAFE’s safety performance. PARASAFE is not designed to be used multiple times.

With pyrotechnics used to deploy the product, is there any fire hazard?

PARASAFE doesn’t emit any flames or hot fumes. However, please be sure to use PARASAFE only upon proper familiarization with the Product Instruction Manual. 

Does PARASAFE fall under any provisions of the Explosives Control Law?

While containing materials rated as explosives under the Explosives Control Law, PARASAFE is classified as a pyrotechnic device exempt from provisions of said law for handling, transport, storage and use.(As notified by METI on May 8, 2020, in Declaration 107 Item 38)*

Is there any risk of inadvertent activation before flight?

PARASAFE is equipped with a safety pin for circuit cutoff to prevent inadvertent activation before flight.

Can PARASAFE be used in rainy and windy conditions?

PARASAFE is tested for IP 54 water protection rating.

What type of drones can PARASAFE be used with?

With a product weight of approx. 1 kg, PARASAFE’s use is limited to commercial drones which have been properly weighted and centered for flight readiness. 

When will PARASAFE become available for purchase?

PARASAFE is scheduled to be released for sale in Japan in December 2021.
